Your Local and family-owned pest control company
The Bug Broz.
Founded by brothers Jake and Josh McLellan after winning Mount Royal University’s JMH LaunchPad Pitch Competition, Bug Broz was established back in 2020 to bring a modern, responsible approach to pest control in Calgary and our surrounding communities. What started as two brothers with a shared vision, a single service truck, and an uncompromising work ethic has grown year after year into a premier local operation. Throughout that steady growth, our driving philosophy has never shifted: this isn’t just about eliminating pests; it’s about providing genuine accountability and an exceptional customer experience that reflects our family values. We continue to invest in our team and our methods every season, earning long-term trust across local neighbourhoods by treating every property with the same care and respect as our own.
The Same Familiar Faces, Every Single Service
We believe the highest quality pest management is built on strong client relationships and deep property knowledge, not high employee turnover. While Bug Broz has grown beyond just the two founding brothers to include carefully vetted, trusted employees, we intentionally keep our operations tight-knit and personal. You won’t experience a revolving door of new, unfamiliar technicians showing up to guess at your layout on every visit. Instead, you get the same dedicated crew members who take the time to learn the specific history, trouble spots, and unique requirements of your home or commercial facility. This continuity allows our team to anticipate issues before they escalate, fine-tune treatments over time, and take personal pride in getting the job done right the first time.
Dedicated to Pet and Kid Safe Practices
Your family’s health and comfort always come first in every decision we make. Since day one in 2020, we have prioritized pet and kid safe practices across every treatment protocol we design and execute. Rather than defaulting to aggressive, blanket applications of harsh chemicals throughout your living areas, our strategy focuses on intelligent, targeted exterior perimeter defenses. By creating a durable protective barrier around the outside of your foundation, entry points, and outdoor gathering spaces, we eliminate pests where they live and stop them cold before they ever cross your threshold. You get total peace of mind, reliable pest elimination, and full confidence that your kids, dogs, and cats can safely enjoy your yard and home without disruption.
